With limitless ability comes unique decisions. Loving every genre of music forces you to learn distinctly different approaches to music creation. Abi Lorrel's music spans the gamut of different sounds and musical tastes. From Hip Hop to classic rock, Abi writes and performs her own genre busting songs. She can't limit herself to just one sound, one genre. So she just creates different songs that she feels and likes. Today she might write a Hip Hop track with her mentor Sticky Fingaz from Onyx, and tomorrow she can be creating a ballad with her mentor Gladys Knight; or creating rock with Jon Anderson of the legendary group YES. Nothing is off limits, and the audience is the beneficiary of this ability. Abi Lorrel: The Journey of a Rising Star in the Music World
Abi LorreL’s story begins in Spain, where her love for music and performing ignited. While dancing with her host family’s young daughter to Britney Spears songs, she discovered her passion for entertainment and became fluent in Spanish. Abi’s career took off rapidly, finding fame in Belarus and parts of Russia.
With a foundation in music theory, she became a classically trained opera singer, composer, and arranger. By the age of sixteen, she won MTV’s Best New Artist award in Europe. After releasing a successful Russian-language R&B song, she set her sights on America.
Moving to Brooklyn to live with her grandmother, Abi balanced her studies at Columbia University with her musical aspirations. Despite a deal with her family to focus on school first, she began auditioning for entertainment roles. This led her to meet Bernard Jackson, lead singer of the R&B group SURFACE, who recognized her talents and began nurturing her growth as a future star.
Today, Abi Lorrel is on the cusp of releasing collaborations with legends like Gladys Knight, KRS-One, and many more, marking the next phase of her extraordinary career.
Abi Lorrel:From Chernobyl Survivor to International Music Star
Abi Lorrel’s journey to stardom has been far from ordinary. Born in Belarus, Abi’s early life was shaped by the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster. As a child, she spent summers in Spain to escape the radiation fallout that contaminated much of Belarus’ food supply. Despite these challenges, Abi’s determination to succeed never faltered.
A young child star in Belarus, she quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment world. Now based in the USA, Abi Lorrel is rising as an international star, proving that nothing can stand in the way of her immense talent and drive.
